The third edition of the contemporary photography urban festival will take place from 3rd to 10th September in Lecce (Italy). This year the festival takes part in the project URBAN LAYERS — New Paths in Photography, co-funded by the European Programme Creative Europe: an integrated action with which an international network of public and private operators entrusts the cultural accessibility to the photographic medium. After the festivals in Málaga and Thessaloniki, the Salentinian territory will host hundreds of visitors and tourists: the format of Bitume Photofest (created and organized by the cultural association Positivo Diretto) is composed by an outdoor exhibition with large format prints displayed in the urban environment and indoor exhibitions in Manifatture Knos, Locali Fotografici, Bar Sette dì Sette, Whitephotogallery.
Bitume will show the vision of great international photographers, in addition to the artworks produced during the Residency program in Gibellina, which hosts six international artists on April 2016, and other activities such as workshops, book launches and performances.
At the opening on 3rd September, Sam Harris, Kalpesh Lathigra, Claudio Beorchia, Giorgio Di Noto, Denis Curti, Steve Bisson will be some of the guests.
